About Newport Institute for Young Adults
Accepting Young Adults Up to 35 years old.
Newport Institute provides young adult residential treatment center for individuals between the ages of 18 and 35. Newport Institute’s treatment approach is an insight-based, trauma-informed, and relational model that addresses the unique needs of this particular age range. We recognize that every individual has one common desire in life, purpose and meaning. Young adults often lack the self-esteem needed in the adult world and have to work through unresolved trauma they’ve faced. These can lead to ongoing mental health issues and co-occurring disorders, or new challenges as they leave home and begin independent lifestyles.
Each young adult’s individual treatment program incorporates evidence-based clinical, experiential, and collegiate or life-skills elements for superior, comprehensive care. Our integrated residential treatment center consists of at least 30 hours of clinical and experiential therapy each week with an additional 20 hours of targeted collegiate mentorship to empower life skills and future integration into the professional world. Newport Institute also provides gender-specific treatment to provide deeper support with a more tailored focus than the general mixed-gender groups.
Each young adult is provided a treatment team specializing in mental health, substance abuse, and trauma. This team consists of board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists have advanced degrees. Some of these degrees include Degrees include PhD (Psychologist), LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor), and MD (Medical Doctor and Psychiatrist).

Testimonials
Honestly, Newport Institute saved my life. It was something that I was terrified to do and to be honest, when I saw the photos, I didn't think it was real. But it was. And so helpful. One on one time with counselors and therapists was immensely helpful and I spent every day learning something new and more coping skills in each group. It wasn't easy. At all. But it was worth it. So very worth it. I came out stronger. Please don't ever be afraid to get help, because it does get better, and it's worth it.
